President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted delegation of the US Congress led by Congressman Trent Kelly, the presidential press service said.
Welcoming the guests, among which were also members of the House of Representatives Vicente Gonzalez, Ronald Estes, Roger Marshall and Jennifer Gonzalez Colon, the Uzbek President sincerely congratulated congressmen on the successful holding of mid-term elections in the United States.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev commended the establishment of the Congressional Uzbekistan Caucus in the US House of Representatives.
The parties also considered topical issues of bilateral ties, focusing on the creation of favorable conditions and the support for the bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
They parties highlighted the readiness to actively contribute to the further advancing and enhancing of the strategic partnership, and to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
