The Uzbek Ambassador in Kabul, Yodgorhuja Shadmanov handed over 25 buses to the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan on behalf of the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Minister of Higher Education, Najibullah Khoja Omary expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the gift to the Afghan people, noting that this gesture is a vivid example of Uzbekistan’s fraternity to the people of Afghanistan.
The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan, Muhammad Hamid Tahmasi, sommended Uzbekistan's efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan by enhancing trade and economic ies, helping the country to implement infrastructure projects and engaging Afghanistan in regional economic integration processes.
“We are sincerely grateful to the Uzbek people for the constant attention to our needs and aspirations. Only brothers and true friends who are confident in a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan are capable of such gestures,” said Deputy Finance Minister Abdullah Rakibi.
