Uzbek Deputy PM/ Finance Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov hosted the delegation of South Korean Ajou University including the Vice-President for International Relations, Mr. Lim Jay-Ick, Professor of International Relations, Mr. Cho Joon-Hong, Director of the Office of International Relations, Ms. Kim Jay-Eun, the ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed issues of creating of Ajou University branch and campus in Tashkent, with Architecture, Electronic engineering, Construction of engineering systems departments.
According to Mr. Lim, the admission of students could start as early in the fall of 2019, with the quota set at 420 students. The classes will taught in in English, with plans to introduce Korean classes as of September 2020.
The Ministry of Finance said it was ready to provide full support for this project and scholarship programs.
