Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov and the President of the French government space agency (CNES), Jean-Yves Le Gall signed a framework agreement on space cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement provides for further cooperation and joint activities covering space science, Earth observation, satellites, space applications, space research and technology and coordination of international regulatory issues.

"Apart from joint projects, the parties will privilege cooperation in the exchange of experience and best practices, training and promotion of space activities, in particular, engaging of young personnel in this area. A joint managing committee will be formed to coordinate these activities," the French embassy to Uzbekistan said.

The signing of this framework agreement will allow France and Uzbekistan to develop multiple space related projects.
