Uzbekistan Airways announced increase by an average of 35%. of the ticket prices for Afrosiyob high-speed service as of November 1, the company said.
"This is a necessary measure to cover the of electricity, raw materials, spare parts and staff remuneration costs," – the statement said.
“This move will allow to keep the number of existing routes and bring the profitability of to the break-even point on socially significant destinations,” the company noted.
Afrosiyob currently trains operate on Tashkent-Samarkand, Tashkent-Shakhrisabz and Tashkent-Bukhara routes.
Last increase of ticket prices for Afrosiyob trains was on August 15, 2018, when it rose by 35%.
