The State Secretary, Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin received from the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia, Botirjon Asadov, the copies of credentials on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said.
“The Deputy Minister congratulated Asadov on assuming the office of the head of Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission in Moscow and wished him success in his efforts aimed at developing the multi-dimensional strategic partnership and alliance ties between the two countries,” the foreign ministry said.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan and the completion of the drafting of the new documents for bilateral cooperation scheduled for signing during the upcoming Russian-Uzbek summit, the ministry said.
