U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross will visit Uzbekistan in October of this year, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement added that the National Press Club in Washington hosted the presentation of the book Uzbekistan's New Face, published by the Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus (CACI).
One of the co-authors of the book, Svante Cornell said that the book focuses on the recent political, economic and judicial-legal reforms in Uzbekistan, adding the reforms undertaken by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also had a very positive effect on the situation in Central Asia in whole.
The chairman of the CACI and the editor-in-chief of the book, Frederick Starr, noted that there is no country in the world that could match Uzbekistan in terms of the pace and scale of reforms.
