According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the IT Development Ministry will be entitled to block websites with content:
- calling for violent overthrow of the existing constitutional order, territorial integrity of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- making propaganda of war, violence and terrorism, as well as ideas of religious extremism, separatism and fundamentalism;
- disclosing of information and data constituting a state secret or other secret protected by law;
- disseminating information that provokes national, racial, ethnic or religious enmity, as well as discrediting honor and dignity or business reputation of individuals, allowing interference in their private life;
- making propaganda of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors;
- making propaganda of pornography;
- calling for commission of other actions that entail criminal and other liability in accordance with the current legislation.
The Mass Communications Monitoring Center under the Uzbek Agency for Press and Information will be in charge of monitoring the websites.
