President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Islam Karimov Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex in Tashkent on September 2, where he laid flowers at the monument to the first president Islam Karimov, the presidential press service said.
The late president’s widow Tatyana Karimova, members of the parliament and government, scientists and cultural figures and representatives of the public also attended part in the ceremony.
On the same day, the Tashkent’s Navruz house of ceremonies hosted a dinner in the memory of the first president.
