Cargo convoy today crossed the Uzbek-Tajik border carrying manpower, materials and special equipment intended for construction of a medical complex in Tajikistan. The project has been entrusted to the Uzbekneftegaz, the company said.
Uzbekistan will build a medical complex in the Khatlon province, southern Tajikistan, which, once completed, will be handed over free of charge to Tajikistan. The facility will be designed for 200 beds.
The construction will be carried out pursuant to the Uzbek President’s Measures to Expand Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Decree and the agreement reached between the governments of the two countries.
The convoy, which was dispatched as part of the phase I of construction, included an escalator, trailer, household cars for engineering workers, and a bus with 15 experts, including machine operators, workers for excavation and preparatory works.
