40 strong Uzbekistan delegation including heads of ministries and departments, the Committee for Investments, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and officials of 6 provincial governor’s offices in charge of investments and innovations will be visiting New Delhi form August 6 to 8.

The visit is part of the preparations for the 11th meeting of the Uzbek-Indian intergovernmental commission for trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation to be held in Tashkent on August 16-18 organized with the support of the Committee for Investment.

The program of the visit includes participation in three business forums with representatives of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the India-CIS Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Meetings are also scheduled with the leadership of the ministries of Commerce and Industry, of Finance, Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs and senior executives of India's largest companies.

During the visit, it is planned to discuss promising areas of cooperation for working out specific investment projects in various sectors of the economy.
