Members of the Uzbek Government are opening accounts in social networks, mainly in Facebook. In early June, Deputy PM/Finance Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov opened an account on Facebook.
"Friends, here I will share info on financial reforms, news and events taking place in our country," he wrote on June 4. - Your opinions and suggestions are very important for me."
A little over a month ago, another vice-premier, chairman of the Women's Committee Tanzila Narbaeva, opened a Facebook page of her own, where she is sharing news from the committee, meetings and trips, posts photographs from local and international events.
"Now we will stay in touch so that the principle: “It is not the people should serve the state bodies, but the state bodies should serve the people” gets working”, she wrote as a welcome remark.
The Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov opened his account in late May.
"It is with the purpose of interacting with you and solving the problems in the public healthcare that I opened my personal page on Facebook. Now on this page we can discuss news, plans, proposals and letters in the field of healthcare." he wrote
It is worth mentioning that many other ministries, departments, mayors and other bodies have accounts in social networks.
