Ravshan Mukhitdinov, former Presidential adviser and Minister of Justice, who was handed 15 years of imprisonment in 2012, was released.

Mukhitdinov was released in court by the decision of the Tashkent city cassation court last Monday. He was arrested in 2011 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison under the charges of bribery, abuse of power and others.

Ravshan Mukhitdinov, 55, graduate of the legal department of Tashkent State University (in 1985) and Academy of State and public construction under the President (in 1997).

In January 2008, Mukhitdinov was appointed as Justice Minister,and in June 2011 was moved to the adviser to the president job, responsible for coordination of work of law enforcement, security and tax agencies.
