President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 11 signed a decree on organizing the activity of the branch of the National University of Science and Technology "MISiS" (formerly Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys State Technological University.
The branch, as a separate unit of MISiS, will offer both graduate and undergraduate studies, taking into account the demand for personnel. Curricula will be approved by MISIS, taking into account Uzbekistan's education standards.
The admission quota for undergraduate studies in the 2018/2019 academic year will be 150 people, including in the Mining department - 75 , Metallurgy - 50 people, Automation and management of technological processes and productions - 25 people.
The buildings of the Navoi State Mining Institute in Almalyk and Almalyk Industrial Vocational College will be handed over to the branch.
