Uzbekistan and Turkey will sign various area interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental accords, as well as a number of investment deals as part of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Tashkent on 29 April-1 May 2018, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The counterparts are expected to discuss the ways to further step up multifaceted cooperation, consolidating and developing new promising trends in bilateral ties, focusing on regional and international agenda, including issues of countering global and regional challenges and threats.

In accordance with the format of the state visit, the President of Turkey will address the joint meeting of the Parliament of Uzbekistan.

The leaders of the two countries will also attend the joint business forum of executives of banks and companies of Uzbekistan and Turkey.

The Turkish delegation is scheduled to visit Bukhara as well.

Following the Uzbekistan – Turkey summit, the two leaders will sign the Joint Statement and oversee the signing bilateral accords.
