The Uzbek Senate passed the Public Procurement Bill. According to the Senate press service, the provisions of the bill include norms on state regulation of public procurement, identified subjects of public procurement, set general requirements for the process of public procurement.
A major novelty is the introduction of the e-procurement, as well as procurement through an auction and bidding, the procurement commission. The bill also regulates the procurement of goods (works, services) from a single supplier.
In addition, the procedure for monitoring, public and state control of procurement procedures, as well as the mechanism for appealing, resolving disputes and disagreements have been regulated.
