Starting from February 10, 2018 Uzbekistan will introduce 30-day visa-free regime for the nationals of 7 countries: Israel, Indonesia, Korea Republic, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan.
In addition, visa-free regime will be introduced for the crews of foreign aircrafts operating regular flights to Uzbekistan. This is stipulated by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's Additional Organizational Measures to Create Favorable Conditions for Boosting Uzbekistan's Tourism Potential Decree, a source in the government said.
The decree will bring to 16 the total number of countries for which the visa-free regime will be effective. Currently the nationals of 9 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan (up to 60 days) enjoy visa-free regime.
The decree also envisages the introduction of simplified tourist visas application for 39 countries starting from February 10, scrapping the requirement to provide a tourist voucher to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an invitation from inviting legal or physical person in Uzbekistan and visa to be issued in two working days.
