Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today hosted the visiting delegation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) led by Manfred Profazi, Senior Regional Advisor for Europe and Central Asia, the ministry reported.
The sides reportedly discussed the state and prospects for advancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and IOM, and noted the fruitful nature of cooperation in the field of combating human trafficking.
Uzbekistan is not yet a member of IOM, however, as it was noted, constructive dialogue has been established between the parties, with Uzbek experts actively participating in the organization's activities.
The sides also reiterated their readiness to strengthen and develop ties, including through the implementation of joint projects.
