President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the mausoleum of Khakim Termizi in Surkhandarya province.
"During the visit to the mausoleum, the President noted that he was deeply saddened by the death of our countrymen in the bus fire in Kazakhstan and expressed his condolences to their relatives.Prayer for the peace of their souls was read," the President's press service said.
In addition, all mosques in Uzbekistan hosted a Friday prayer in memory of the deceased fellow countrymen.
The chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, mufti Usmonkhon Alimov also expressed his deep condolences to all the relatives and friends of the deceased in the tragic incident that the whole country mourns.
The bus, which was carrying 57 people, including two drivers caught fire in Thrusday morning in the Aktyubinsk province of Kazakhstan killing 52 people all whom were Uzbek citizens.
