President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the bus fire in the Aktobe province of Kazakhstan, and instructed to form a special government commission, headed by PM Aripov, which will be tasked to investigate the causes of the incident, establish the identities of the dead and provide the necessary assistance to the families of the deceased.

The tragedy happened at 10:30 AM in Irgiz district of the northern Aktobe province, killing 52 and injuring 5 people. According to preliminary data, most of the passengers were citizens of Uzbekistan.

A number of heads of state extended condolences to the President of Uzbekistan. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev offered his condolences: "On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I ask you to convey the words of sympathy and support to the relatives and friends of the deceased." On the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan, a government commission was set up to investigate the circumstances and causes of the tragedy.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov in his message of condolences said: "On behalf of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and on my own behalf, I express my deep condolences in connection with the death of the citizens of Uzbekistan in the tragic incident in the Aktobe province of Kazakhstan. I ask you to convey the words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as the wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims. We share the bitterness of the irreplaceable loss."

The message of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, says: "I was deeply saddened by the news of the fire of a passenger bus in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan, which resulted in the death of 52 people. I ask you, dear Shavkat Miromonovich, to convey on behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan our condolences and feelings of sympathy to the families and friends of the deceased, as well as the wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims."
