President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today hosted the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Sun Lijie, who is ending hist posting in Uzbekistan, UzA said.
President Mirziyoyev underscored the diplomat's efforts and contribution to the advancing and strengthening of friendship and strategic partnership ties between the two countries and awarded him the Dustlik (transl. Friendship) Order.
Sun Lijie thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his high appraisal of his activities and all-round assistance provided to the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan.
He stressed that he intends to continue to actively contribute to the development of multifaceted and mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
