Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States of America Javlon Vakhabov presented his credentials to President of the United States of America Donald Trump.

The ceremony was held in the White House, Jahon said.

President Donald Trump said that the reform efforts undertaken by Uzbekistan over the past year "confirm the country’s focus on real reforms." The steps taken by the Government of Uzbekistan, including the liberalization of the foreign exchange system have boosted the country's attractiveness for foreign investors.

Donald Trump welcomed the progress in eradicating child labor and ensuring the transparency of governance.

President Trump reiterated his commitment to the deepening of Uzbek-American ties. According to him, the countries have many common interests. "Washington reiterates its support for a strong and sovereign Uzbekistan in its efforts to enhance regional cooperation and ensure stability in Afghanistan."
