Police officer, Kh. Abdurakhmonov, filmed beating his 4-year-old daughter, is stripped of his paternal rights by court's decision, the spokesman to the Tashkent city prosecutor's office Bobir Dekhkonov said in a briefing in Tashkent's police department on Thursday.

The mother in an appeal to the Chilanzar district prosecutor's office stated that her husband had been "extremely cruel to their children, insulted and tormented them, beating them on the face and other parts of the body".

After probe Abdurakhmonov was charged with Systematic beating or other acts characterized as torture against a minor and a helpless person Article, which was confirmed by psychologists and other specialists. Abdurakhmonov is now being detained as a preventive measure. Interior Minister Pulat Bobozhonov in an interview to UzA on Thursday, noted that Abdurakhmonov was sacked "for his vices."

"Recently, the whole country learned how he beat and humiliated the four-year-old girl. People were struck by such inhumanity. The perpetrator of this atrocity turned out to be a policeman, "the minister said.

He admitted that there are cases when police officers "commit rudeness, fail duties, put self-interest first, conceal crimes."
