Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Muhammad Shariatmadari yesterday.
The sides noted that one of the priorities of the Uzbek-Iranian ties is to increase and diversify the two-way trade and elevate the investment cooperation.
The sides also discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation in the transport and communication sphere, confirming the readiness to develop relations within the framework of the Treaty on Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman Transport Corridor signed in April 2011.
The sides also exchanged views over the agenda of the upcoming meeting in Tehran of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.
