The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) launched a joint project “Assistance in development of effective public administration and digital transformation”.
The new initiative is aimed at assisting the government in implementing reforms in public administration, e-government development and provision of quality public services.
The joint project will be implemented from October 2017 to December 2020 with a total budget of US$1.2 million.
The project will assist in preparation of information and analytical materials on effective public administration and e-government, improving access to legal information and public services, and developing national capacities in information technology, engineering and e-government.
The project will provide information and analytical support for public administration reform, institutional support for think tanks, strengthening the capacity of the Mininfokom in the field of public administration and e-government.
The project envisages improvement of the Lex.uz legal information portal, creation of the corporate information system of UzArhiv agency, improvement of the system of collecting and analyzing the statistics of electronic services and appeals.
The project will work to stimulate interest in exact, engineering and ICT-related sciences, strengthen national ICT and e-government capacity, as well as measures to support export of high-tech products and services in the field of ICT.
