The new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkey, Alisher Aghzamhodzhayev, presented his credentials to the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the meeting, Erdoğan underscored that Uzbekistan is Turkey’s important partner in Central Asian region and in the world and expressed readiness to bring the bilateral ties to a new level in all areas of mutual interest.
The sides noted the positive dynamics in the Uzbek-Turkish relations since the talks between the leaders of the two countries in November 2016 in Samarkand. The next meetings of the leaders in Beijing, Astana and New York made it possible to start working together to utilize the existing great opportunities for boosting cooperation.
The Turkish leader emphasized that the upcoming visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey will be landmark visit, which will give a new impetus to the further development of the Uzbek-Turkish political dialogue, expansion of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, investment, financial and technical and other fields.
