The Kibray district police prevented an attempt to sell a child, after it received a call stating that a woman in Kibray district was trying to sell her child to strangers for $ 1000.
M. Ismayilova, 27, was arrested in an immediate operation when she was trying to sell her three-month-old son for 500 thousand soums.
The reasons which led to this attempt were not immediately clear.
M. Ismayilova was charged under Article 135 of the Criminal Code (human trafficking), with investigative activities being carried out.
