First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Senate, Sodiq Safoyev hosted a UK delegation led by the Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Simon McDonald.
Sir Simon MacDonald highly commended the adoption of the Uzbekistan’s Development Strategy for 2017-2021 and expressed readiness for active cooperation with Uzbekistan for implementing programs and projects within the framework of the Strategy.
The sides reportedly exchanged views on priority areas of political, trade, economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as ways to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and UK.
