Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed a package of documents following the talks between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev.
In particular, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Almazbek Atambayev signed the Joint Statement and the Uzbek - Kyrgyz State Boundary Agreement.
The heads of state oversaw the signing of a number of bilateral accords:
Memorandum on cooperation between the the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic;
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation and mutual assistance in tax compliance;
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the activities of border officials;
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the field of higher education;
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on scientific and technical cooperation;
Protocol on exchange of instruments of ratification of the Consular Convention between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic;
Agreement between the Mayor’s office of Andijan city of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Mayor’s office of Osh city of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian fields;
Agreement on cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic;
Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic;
Agreement between the Mayor’s office of Tashkent city and the the Mayor’s office of Bishkek city;
Joint action plan of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on further deepening and expanding cooperation between the border provinces for 2017-2019;
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on inter-province cooperation.
