In January-June 2024, the Tashkent city was the top contributor to the Uzbek gross domestic product (GDP) on 19 %, the Statistics agency said in a report.
Tashkent was followed by Tashkent province (10.2 %) and Navoi province (8.5 %).
Reportedly, Syrdarya (1.9 %), Jizzakh (2.8 %) provinces and the Karakalpak autonomy (2.8 %) were the bottom three areas in terms of shares in Uzbekistan’s GDP.
