President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and will pay an official visit to this country on Wednesday, June 6, the presidential press service said.
The visit program features the third edition of the Strategic Cooperation Council meeting in Ankara, chaired by the heads of the two states.
The agenda of the summit also includes the ways to develop and strengthen the Uzbek-Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership ties.
The parties reportedly focused on expanding cooperation, primarily increasing the two-way trade, promote industrial, green energy, electrical engineering, textiles, pharmaceutical industries, agricultural and other projects, including under public-private partnership terms.
Issues of continuing cultural and humanitarian exchange will also be considered. There will be an exchange of views on current aspects of international politics.
The talks are expected to culminate in signing of a number of bilateral documents.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey will also hold the first joint meeting with the heads of major enterprises and companies of the two countries.
