On October 18 an army helicopter Mi-171 carrying out a schedule flight crashed in the Fergana region, killing 9 people.
3 crew members and 6 military were killed as a result of the accident, the Defense Ministry's press service reported. A special commission to investigate the causes of the crash has been formed.
The Uzbek authorities have expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of those killed in crash.
