The leader of the Milliy Tiklanish party, Alisher Kadyrov, commented on the beer festival and Jennifer Lopez’s concert in Tashkent. He said that Uzbekistan is a secular state that provides the opportunity to live the way a person wants, provided that he does not violate the laws.
The country has established that the priority goal is to create conditions so that all fellow countrymen, regardless of ethnicity and worldview, can freely and without violating the laws, strive for well-being. Everyone is guaranteed equality, and no one will be discriminated against. If someone wants to drink beer, he may drink, it is his choice, a non-drinking person may not drink if he wishes so. Noone is obliged to explain to anyone the reason for their choice. Alcohol can be consumed, but it cannot be advertised, this is established by the laws, - he wrote.
Alisher Kadyrov underscored that the position of the Milliy Tiklanish party is that development should be based on values.
Jennifer Lopez's concert is a profitable and closed event. If she does not distribute drugs and conduct anti-state propaganda, the concert will go ahead. Showing off her body is her choice, and watching is the choice of those who bought a ticket. This is what secularism is! - the politician noted.
Alisher Kadyrov reminded of the equal rights of women.
The choice of our female countrywoman who wants to walk around completely covered is also protected by law. We have recognized open clothing as a manifestation of secularism, so let's also accept that the right to walk around covered should not be infringed. Just as we did not lecture Lopez how to dress, so our religious women do not need to be taught how to tie a headscarf. We must stop forcing women who wear a headscarf to take it off for a passport photo. Identification requirements require an open face, not hair. Let's show our religious women the same tolerance that we show to Lopez, he added.
The politician noted that secularism is the ability to be equal for both believers and non-believers, and not when the strong teaches the weak how to live.
To understand Lopez's dance, you need to study the philosophy of (Gabriel Garcia) Marquez, Kadyrov concluded.
