On August 18, Chairman of the Ukrainian-Uzbek Friendship Society Lubomir Bashinsky received 10.5 tons of humanitarian cargo collected by representatives of NGOs and businesses in Uzbekistan, Ukrainian Ambassador to Tashkent Mykola Doroshenko said.

Winter, sports, women's and children's shoes, knitwear for children were sent to Ukraine for a total of 785.8 thousand hryvnias ($21.3 thousand). Medical syringes, medical cotton and infusion systems worth 157.8 thousand hryvnias (about $4,280) were also donated.

Humanitarian aid has already been transferred to the Drohobych district administration of the Lviv region, the Department of Social Policy and the Lviv Regional Council for Special Medical Support.

“I express my sincere gratitude to the вўтўкқ of such a humanitarian action, and special thanks to Mr. Bashinsky for the work done. Together to victory! Glory to Ukraine!" - wrote Ambassador Nikolai Doroshenko.

Earlier, Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine in April 2022 and June 2022. In August this year, a group of 45 children arrived in Uzbekistan from Ukraine for recreation and rehabilitation. This project was initiated by the country's embassy in Tashkent and received support from representatives of Uzbek business and public organizations.
