On June 2, at about 10:10 am, a traffic accident occurred in Altyaryk district of Fergana province, as a result of which an Italian national, A.U., died, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The accident occurred on the 2nd km of the Baghdad-Altyaryk highway. Nexia-2 driver A. A, 21, hit a woman, an Italian national, 67, who was riding a bicycle.
As a result, A.U. was hospitalized with various injuries. Despite the medical assistance provided, she died.
Criminal case has been launched on this fact under Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles that resulted in the death of a person charge, with investigation ongoing.
