Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov today hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers exchanged views on the perspectives of implementing agreements reached at the highest level, stepping up political and diplomatic cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

They also explored the ways for bolstering trade and economic ties, including increasing the two-way trade volume, expanding the supply of Uzbek goods to the South Korean market, attracting South Korean investment and high technologies to the development of transport infrastructure, logistics, "green" economy and other sectors.

They alss discussed the progress of new large-scale projects in the fields of health, education, culture and tourism.

At the end of the talks, the foreign ministers signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation on climate change. During the visit of the South Korean delegation, interdepartmental documents aimed at establishing cooperation in the development of electronic parliament, developing partnership relations in the fields of forestry, plant quarantine and protection were also signed.
