From July 1, legal entities in Uzbekistan will be allowed to pay for advertising services in social networks from their foreign currency corporate cards. This is stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers’ May 19 Resolution.

This provision was provided for in the Roadmap for improving IT services in 2022-2023, which was approved by the president in August last year.

While, the limit for these expenses will be set at $ 5,000 per calendar month.

Information about payments must be entered into the unified electronic foreign trade operations system. Among them are the name of the social network and the country of its registration, the name of the foreign company providing advertising services, the date and amount of payment, the number of the document confirming the provision of the service. If a foreign company does not provide documents on the services rendered, then the date of the service is considered the last day of the month.

According to Spot with reference to the data of the Tax Committee, in the first four months of the year alone, foreign Internet services provided services in Uzbekistan for 122.9 billion soums and paid 32.4 soums of taxes. The main part of these amounts fell on Meta, Google and Yandex, which receive revenue from the sale of advertising.
