Uzbekistan has resumed natural gas exports to China, the China’s General Customs Authority said. Reportedly, Uzbekistan exported $40.47 million worth of gas in April for the first time year-to-date, with no exports reported in January-March.
The Uzbek Statistics Agency Uzbekistan reported that the total gas exports volume last month topped $90.5 million.
Uzbekistan said it exported $910.9 million worth of gas in 2022, while the Chinese authorities announced the import of Uzbek gas was estimated at $1.07 billion, which is by $159.5 million, or 18.2%, more than Uzbekistan's data.
