Uzbekistan in the coming years plans to increase gold production by almost one and a half times, up to 150 tons, announced the Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology Azam Kadirkhodzhaev at the Innoprom. Central Asia exhibition.

He noted that Uzbekistan was one of the largest gold producers in the world and currently produces about 105 tons of gold annually.

Balpantau and Tamdybulak deposits were discovered in April 2022 in Tamdy district of Navoi province as part of Muruntau quarry with reserves of more than 40 million tons of gold ore. It is planned to mine more than 3 million tons of ore per year there for almost 15 years.

While, Chukurkuduk gold deposit was discovered in 2021 in Kyzylkum with reserves of 133 tons.
