The second Tashkent International Investment Forum kicked off today at the International Congress Center, where now President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is addressing its session.
The session will be attended by President of the Islamic Development Bank Muhammad bin Suleiman al-Jasir, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan/Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Japarov, UN Deputy Secretary-General Olga Algaerova, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Economic Development of Hungary Márton Nagy, Chairman of the BOD of ACWA Power Mohammad A. Abunayyan.
The event Is being attended by about 2,500 business leaders from 70 countries.
The session is moderated by Jonathan Charles, Communications Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that this forum was becoming a good tradition.
"We accept your visit to our hospitable country as a sign of respect for our country and trust in our reforms," said the president.
He pointed to the complex and dangerous processes and unpredictable changes were currently underway in the world, which are seriously testing the world economy.
He expressed confidence that today's meeting would serve to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation and discover new business opportunities in such a conflicting environment.
