Deputy PM Jamshid Kuchkarov, during his ongoing trip to China, met with the Vice Premier of the State Council of China, Liu Guozhong, Dunyo reported.
Reportedly, the parties noted that stable and strong relations had been established between the countries, which met the interests of the trade, economy and investment fields.
They highlighted that in 2022, that China became Uzbekistan’s second top trading partner, with the two-way trade reaching almost $9 billion. Last year, 275 new Chinese-invested enterprises were set up in the country, bring the total number to over 2100.
Liu Guozhong noted that Chinese companies and the government had invested more than 10 billion dollars in Uzbekistan In 2016-2022in such fields as oil and gas exploration, textile and chemical industry, infrastructure creation, transport, telecommunications and construction.
While, the sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between the countries in various fields, developing agriculture, efficient use of land, and applying Chinese experience in social fields.
