Uzbekistan government delegation led by the Deputy PM Jamshid Kochkarov paid a visit to China, Dunyo reported. During the visit, he is expected to hold meetings and negotiations in a number of ministries and agencies of China, to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation while visiting Chinese provinces.
At the meeting at the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, the parties discussed the ways to further expedite cooperation in the field of agriculture.
They agreed to use China's vast experience in this field and to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan and pointed to the importance of developing rural areas in Uzbekistan, expanding the knowledge and skills of the population in agriculture, combating desertification and drought.
The delegation also visited the State Committee for Development and Reforms of China and held negotiations on cooperation in areas of interest to our countries.
In addition, it was agreed to cooperate with the relevant Chinese authorities in land use reform, regional development and urbanization strategy, development of employment and social security, and management of food and strategic reserves.
