Amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility regarding the payment of administrative fines was signed by the President on Tuesday.

According to the amendment to article 332-1 of the Code, if the offender voluntarily pays 50% of the fine within 15 days or 70% of the fine within 30 days, he shall be relieved from paying the remaining part of the fine.

The simplified procedure for the execution of a decision to impose a fine does not apply in the following cases:

  • when committing offenses under Articles 131 (Driving while intoxicated), 132 (Driving small boats by boatmasters while intoxicated), 136 (Evasion of vehicle drivers and other road users from passing an examination for intoxication) and 140 (Admission to driving vehicles of drivers who are in a state of intoxication, or persons who do not have the right to drive vehicles) of the Code;
  • when appealing or protesting against a fine;
  • in case of repeated commission of the same offense within 1 year after the imposition of an administrative penalty.

The amendments will take effect on May 1, 2023.
