A video has circulated on social media showing female students from a Tashkent school jokingly throwing prop dollar bills to the song “For Money, Yeah!” by the Russian pop singer Daria Zoteeva, aka Instasamka. The Tashkent public education department (TPED) commented on the situation, saying that "the parents apologized."

According to the TPED, four 9th-grade students of the school No. 181 shot a video. The working group found that they were throwing prop dollars around the class, and a classmate took it on video. The video was uploaded on the TikTok, which is blocked in Uzbekistan.

On February 28, a “preventive conversation” was held with the girls and their parents with the participation of officials of the TPED, the head of the district department of the Agency for Youth Affairs, a local police officer and a psychologist.

“At the meeting, they were once again explained that the above actions of the students are contrary to the rules of etiquette and do not correspond to national traditions,” the message says.

While, the school principal M. Saburova explained the order of the Ministry of Preschool and Public Education dated June 28, 2022 “On the rules of conduct and internal order” and warned the students not to repeat this again.

According to TPED, the mother of one of the schoolgirls apologized to the school administration on behalf of parents for the distribution of the video by students "without a deep understanding of the meaning."

The local inspector and psychologists of the Chilanzar district are continuing to study the footage.

The song “For Money, Yeah!” is a TikTok trend track with hundreds of related compilations. The track was released on the Instasamka’s YouTube channel at the end of November 2022 with over 42 million views. In the text “For Money, Yeah,” the singer boasts of her earnings, rich husband, and love of money.
