As of January 1, 2022, the indicator of housing provision of the population in Uzbekistan was an average of 18.2 square meters of the total living space per inhabitant.

According to the State Statistics Committee, this figure has increased by 2.2 square meters compared to the corresponding period of 2021.

As of January 1, 2022, the level of housing provision of the population in the CIS countries (average square meters of the total living area per inhabitant):

  • Moldova - 34.3 square meters (sqm);
  • Armenia - 33.9 sqm;
  • Belarus R. – 28.9 sqm;
  • Russia - 27.8 sqm;
  • Kazakhstan - 23.2 sqm;
  • Azerbaijan - 20 sqm;
  • Uzbekistan - 18.2 sqm;
  • Kyrgyzstan - 13 sqm;
  • Tajikistan - 10.9 sqm.
