The State-Owned Assets Management Agency announced the sale of the government stake in UzAuto Trailer. Tatarstan’s Technopolis Khimgrad innopark has become the owner of 100% of the govt’s share. The dela price was reported to top 561.1 billion soums (about $49.7 million).

The privatization consultant was Mosaic Financial consulting company, and the valuation was conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In total, 6 bids were received.

“The bids have been examined to determine whether there were pending administrative, arbitration or other legal proceedings that could prevent the bidders from participating in the privatization process, as well as for the fact that they are not included in the sanctions list of the European Union, the United States and major international financial institutions,” - the message says.

According to Interfax, Technopolis Khimgrad has one shareholder and is owned by the Autonomous Republic of Tatarstan.

The UzAuto Trailer enterprise was established on June 4, 2012 in Dzhambay district of Samarkand province. The company manufactures trailers and suspended equipment for various trucks (chassis). The design capacity of the enterprise is up to 3,000 units: 2,000 units of semi-trailers and 1,000 units of suspended equipment, the production of a wide range of vehicles, including dump bodies, semi-trailers, container ships, tilt bodies, isothermal semi-trailers and vans for supplying various sectors of the national economy. The authorized capital is 156.3 billion soums
