A meeting was held with members of the delegation of the US government and the International Republican Institute headed by Peter Roskam at the Ministry of Justice.
At the meeting, Deputy Justice Minister Muzraf Ikramov briefed the guests on the activities of the ministry, its goals and tasks. He spoke about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan to ensure human rights and freedoms, improve the activities of non-governmental organizations and other institutions of civil society, political parties, and increase the legal culture of the population.
Peter Roskam expressed gratitude for the warm reception and positively evaluated the reforms being carried out in the field of justice and law in Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation in further development of activities of non-governmental non-commercial organizations in the future.
At the end of the meeting held in the spirit of mutual trust and constructive dialogue, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation.
