Uzbek Chargé d'affaires in Sweden Nadir Ganiev met with Lena Staafgard, operational director of the international non-profit organization Better Cotton Initiative, Dunyo reported.
During the talks, the Better Cotton Initiative organization's plans to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan, to help the country's cotton-textile clusters to organize cotton cultivation at the level of world standards were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, prospects for increasing the export of textile products of Uzbekistan to Sweden.
Lena Staafgard announced that the Better Cotton Initiative was planning to open its representative office in Tashkent in order to enhance ties with Uzbek partners.
