The Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov met with the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Anna Fajon in Lodz.
The counterparts exchanged detailed views were on the development of bilateral cooperation in all areas and within the framework of international organizations. They also considered the schedule and organizational aspects of future dialogues, the planned visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia to Uzbekistan in 2023.
The ministers noted the need to continue the practice of inter-Ministerial political consultations, which allow for the discussion of a wide range of issues and voiced interest in expanding investment relations in the fields of electronics, pharmaceuticals and chemical, metallurgical industries.
They also touched upon the regional issues and the current situation in Afghanistan. The Slovenian minister was briefed about the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev to form a high-level international negotiating team to prepare and agree on an algorithm for the step-by-step implementation of the parties' obligations with the Afghan government.
