President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kyrgyzstan on December 9, announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Artykbaev.
Reportedly, the Uzbek leader would sign a number of documents with the Kyrgyz authorities. In particular, during the visit, the two leaders will exchange instruments of ratification on the joint management of the Andijan reservoir.
The leadership of the two countries will also sign a document to simplify the border crossing between citizens of the two republics.
In addition, on December 9, Bishkek will host the EAEU summit, where Uzbekistan has observer status.
The heads of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union will discuss the current economic situation, as well as topical issues of integration in the Eurasian space. They will also sum up the outgoing year and exchange views on the prospects for the development of the union.
